Leadership Driving Operational Excellence
The appointment of Jacques Jacobs as Project Manager during May 2025 marked the beginning of a new phase of operational development at Kansanshi PLC. Having previously served within Omega’s Specialised Services Unit in South Africa, Jacques brought extensive operational experience and leadership capability to the project.
Since assuming leadership his focus has included:
- Strengthening operational discipline
- Improving communication structures
- Enhancing accountability and teamwork
- Supporting employee motivation and mentorship
- Raising service delivery standards
Under his leadership, the project has experienced improved coordination, stronger employee engagement, and renewed focus on professionalism and operational consistency.
Operational Management Team
Supporting the project is an experienced operational management structure responsible for maintaining day-to-day operational effectiveness across the site. The management team continues to play a vital role in supervision, mentorship, operational planning, employee guidance, and skills development throughout the project.
Their collective experience within the mining security environment has contributed significantly to maintaining high operational standards and supporting the long-term success of the project.

One of the most significant achievements at Kansanshi PLC has been the continued focus on local employment and leadership development. Through ongoing mentorship, training, and operational exposure, several long-serving employees were promoted into junior management positions during 2025 in recognition of their dedication, professionalism, and contribution to the project.

Chilanga Cement PLC: Supporting One of Zambia’s Leading Cement Producers
Omega Risk Solutions Zambia Limited officially commenced security operations for Chilanga Cement PLC on 1 January 2026, marking another important milestone in the company’s continued expansion within Zambia’s industrial and manufacturing sectors.
Chilanga Cement PLC operates major cement production facilities in Chilanga, Lusaka, and Ndola on the Copperbelt, supplying cement and clinker products across several regional markets, including the Democratic Republic of Congo, Zimbabwe, Malawi, and Burundi.
As part of the international Huaxin Cement Group, Chilanga Cement forms part of a global industrial network with operations extending across Africa, Asia, the Middle East, and South America.
Omega Risk Solutions provides integrated security services across both operational sites, including:
- Access control management
- Physical and mobile patrols
- CCTV monitoring
- Intrusion response
- Vehicle and personnel search procedures
- Product verification and movement control
The deployment reflects Omega’s growing capability within high-value industrial and manufacturing environments where operational continuity, asset protection, and disciplined security procedures remain essential.
Labour Day: Recognising Commitment, Discipline, and Excellence
Omega Risk Solutions Zambia proudly participated in the 2026 Labour Day celebrations held across Lusaka, Ndola, and Kalumbila. The national celebrations were hosted under the theme “Securing Zambia’s Future of Work – Protecting Jobs, Skills and Pensions for Decent Work for All.”
The occasion provided an opportunity to recognise employees who consistently demonstrate professionalism, loyalty, discipline, and commitment to operational excellence. During this year’s celebrations, several Omega employees received recognition for long service, exemplary discipline, and outstanding contribution within the workplace. The awards included certificates, monetary recognition, and commemorative gifts presented during ceremonies attended by Government officials, representatives of organised labour, and employer organisations.
Omega Risk Solutions additionally received recognition for achieving the Best March award in Kalumbila for the second consecutive year — a reflection of the professionalism, discipline, and pride demonstrated by Omega personnel.

ZASAA 2026: Security Company of the Year Nomination
The Zambia Safety Award is a national platform established to recognise and celebrate organisations that demonstrate leadership, consistency and best practices in Health, Safety, Environment and Social Governance. The event falls under the Ministry of Labour and Social Security of Zambia.
Omega Risk Solutions Zambia was one of three nominations under the category Security Company of the Year at the Zambia Safety Awards, for outstanding commitment to workplace Safety, Regulatory Compliance and Operational Excellence within Zambia.
