Growth, Partnerships and Industry Leadership

Omega Security Services has provided professional security services in Namibia since opening its doors in Walvis Bay in 2010. Over the years, the company has grown into one of Namibia’s established private security providers, with operations extending across multiple sectors and regions throughout the country.

The past year has been marked by continued growth, the expansion of strategic client relationships, and the successful commencement of several important contracts across the industrial, logistics, retail, and commercial sectors.

SMC Brands Namibia

On 23 June 2025, Omega Security Services commenced operations as the appointed security provider for SMC Brands Namibia. SMC Brands Namibia forms part of the broader CA&S Group network and is a well-established Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) distribution company specialising in warehousing, distribution, merchandising, sales, and administration services within the FMCG and liquor industries.

The appointment further strengthens Omega’s growing footprint within Namibia’s logistics and distribution sector, where operational discipline, access control, and asset protection remain essential components of supply chain management.

Epiroc Namibia

Omega Security Services officially commenced Loss Control and Guarding Services for Epiroc Namibia during August 2025. The scope of services includes access control, verification of goods during receiving and dispatch processes, and after-hours guarding services aimed at protecting personnel, infrastructure, and operational assets.

The appointment reflects Omega’s continued expansion within Namibia’s industrial and mining support sectors, where specialised operational procedures and strong compliance standards are critical.

Snyman Transport

Omega Security Services commenced operations for Snyman Transport on 1 October 2025. With more than two decades of operational experience, Snyman Transport has established a strong reputation within the transportation of FMCG products, bulk commodities, and fuel across the region.

Through this partnership, Omega provides comprehensive on-site security and access control services designed to support a safe, controlled, and professionally managed operational environment. The collaboration demonstrates how integrated security solutions can strengthen logistics operations, support risk management, and contribute to operational continuity within critical supply chain environments.

Continued Growth: Clicks

Omega Security Services has proudly provided retail security services to the Clicks Group in Namibia since 2020. During November 2025, the partnership expanded further following the opening of a new Clicks store at the Mega Centre in Olympia. The continued growth of the relationship reflects the confidence placed in Omega’s retail security capabilities and operational service standards.

Sportsman’s Warehouse, Grove Mall

Continued Partnership Growth with Dis-Chem

Omega Security Services continues to strengthen its relationship with Dis-Chem Namibia following the opening of the company’s new branch at Maerua Mall during February 2026. The successful deployment at the new site reflects Omega’s ongoing commitment to professionalism, operational discipline, and customer satisfaction within the retail pharmacy environment.

The expansion also highlights the confidence placed in Omega’s ability to support national retail brands through consistent service delivery and well-trained personnel.

Namwaste

Omega Security Services commenced operations at the NAMWASTE hazardous waste treatment and disposal facility during March 2026. Located near Arandis, NAMWASTE provides specialised waste management solutions to Namibia’s mining, industrial, oil, and gas sectors and forms part of the Rent-A-Drum and Séché Environmental Group network.

The facility handles various forms of hazardous and industrial waste and therefore requires strict operational controls and highly disciplined security procedures. Omega Security Services initially commenced day-shift guarding operations before expanding to a full 24-hour security deployment during May 2026.

The project reflects Omega’s capability to operate effectively within highly regulated industrial and environmental environments where safety, compliance, and risk management remain paramount.

Entrepo Finance, Walvis Bay

Omega Security Services commenced operations for Entrepo Finance in Walvis Bay during April 2026. Entrepo Finance is a Namibian term-lending institution focused on providing responsible financial solutions to permanently employed government employees. The appointment further expands Omega’s footprint within Namibia’s commercial and financial services sector.

Industry Challenges and Labour Market Pressures: Adapting to Namibia’s New Minimum Wage Framework

Like many businesses operating within the Namibian security industry, Omega Security Services continues to adapt to the implementation of Namibia’s national minimum wage framework introduced during 2025.

The introduction of the revised wage structure created significant operational and financial pressure across the private security sector, particularly given the substantial increase from historical industry wage levels.

Following engagement between industry stakeholders and relevant authorities, a phased implementation approach was introduced to allow security companies to transition over a three-year period.

Despite these measures, the industry continues to experience high staff turnover as employees increasingly pursue opportunities in sectors offering higher remuneration levels.

Omega Security Services remains committed to maintaining service excellence while continuing to invest in employee development, training, and operational stability during this transitional period.

Security Association of Namibia

The Security Association of Namibia (SAN) plays an important role in promoting professionalism, ethical conduct, compliance, and industry development within Namibia’s private security sector.

Founded in 1991, SAN represents employers, service providers, and stakeholders operating within the Namibian security industry and remains committed to advancing professional standards, training, and regulatory compliance throughout the sector.

Omega Security Services is proud to be an active member of SAN and continues to support initiatives aimed at strengthening and professionalising the security industry in Namibia.

Recognition and Industry Leadership

Omega Security Services Namibia’s National Operations Manager, Mr Calvyn Ludik, received a Certificate of Appreciation from SAN President Kuume Uutaapama in recognition of his service as a SAN Council Member between 2022 and 2025. Mr Ludik was subsequently re-elected to serve an additional three-year term from 2026 to 2028.

The recognition reflects Omega’s ongoing contribution toward the development and professional advancement of the Namibian security industry.

Celebrating Long Service and Commitment: Fifteen Years of Dedicated Service

Senior Patrol Woman Agnes Amushila became the first employee within Omega Security Services Namibia to receive a 15-Year Service Award. Having joined the company in Walvis Bay during 2010, Ms Amushila remains one of the company’s earliest employees and has contributed significantly to Omega’s growth and operational success in Namibia. The award was presented during the company’s annual awards ceremony held in December 2025 and reflects Omega’s appreciation for loyalty, dedication, and long-term commitment.

PMR Awards: Double Diamond Arrow Recognition

During the 2025 PMR Awards, Omega Security Services Namibia received two prestigious Diamond Arrow Awards. The company achieved First Overall in the Security Company category, and First Overall for companies contributing most significantly toward crime prevention. These awards reflect Omega’s continued commitment to operational excellence, professionalism, and community safety across Namibia.

Looking Ahead

Omega Security Services Namibia remains focused on sustainable growth, operational excellence, and the continued expansion of strategic partnerships across the country.
