Tubostrans Oil and Gas (Pty) Ltd, originally established in Angola, has strategically expanded its operations to Walvis Bay, Namibia, in response to the region’s growing energy sector. The company specialises in the bulk storage of chemicals and drilling muds used in offshore petroleum exploration and production.
With recent significant discoveries in Namibia’s Orange Basin, the country is experiencing a surge in exploration activity. This has led to a sharp increase in demand for offshore supply and logistics services, creating new opportunities for experienced operators in the sector.
Recognising this demand, Tubostrans has positioned itself to support the industry by offering logistical services for the temporary handling and storage of chemicals in transit to offshore drilling rigs via the Port of Walvis Bay.
In support of this strategic expansion, Omega Namibia was appointed in April 2025 to provide comprehensive security services for Tubostrans’ Namibian operations, ensuring the safety and integrity of this critical supply chain.
