Osino Resources commenced exploration activities in 2010 and, in a major milestone, made a significant discovery in 2019—uncovering multiple mineral deposits.
The flagship Karibib District Project, also known as “Twin Hills,” encompasses approximately 153,206 hectares of highly prospective geology. This area is held under 11 exploration licences and straddles the core of Namibia’s well-known gold belt, situated east and west of the town of Karibib.
The Karibib District is a recognised gold-bearing region, home to several notable deposits, including the multi-million-ounce Navachab Gold Mine, Osino’s Twin Hills Gold Project, and smaller known deposits such as the Onguati copper-gold and Goldkuppe gold showings.
Notably, much of the area under Osino’s control remains largely unexplored, as it is covered by calcrete and wind-blown sand, presenting untapped potential.
Following the Twin Hills discovery in 2019, Osino prioritised resource drilling and accelerated project development, limiting broader exploration efforts. However, the company is now advancing towards the construction of a new mine, marking a pivotal step in realising the project’s economic potential.
In April 2025, Omega Namibia was awarded the security contract for the Osino project. This development is poised to bring substantial economic growth to the Erongo Region, particularly in and around Karibib and Omaruru.
Omega’s Namibian security team is the first to be deployed at the mine and is currently working closely with Osino Management to establish and implement robust on-site security measures.
